How we use it
- To answer your email and apply corrections.
- To keep the site secure and working.
- To read search performance data from Google Search Console, which shows which searches lead to our pages. This data is grouped and does not identify you.
We do not make decisions about you with your information. Google may use ad cookies to personalize ads where the law allows and where you have agreed.
Who else sees it
We share information only with the services needed to run the site: our web host, the email provider we use to read your messages, and Google for advertising. We may disclose information if the law requires it. Affiliate stores and other sites we link to have their own privacy policies.
How long we keep it
Emails are kept as long as needed to deal with your request and for our records, then deleted. Server logs are kept by the host for a short period.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR in the EU and UK, or the CCPA in California), you can ask us to show you what we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or stop using it. To ask, email [email protected]. We may need to confirm it is you. We do not sell personal information.
Children
This site is written for parents, students and adults. It is not aimed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you think a child sent us information, email us and we will delete it.
Advertising
We use Google advertising services to show ads on this site. Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies to serve ads based on your visits to this and other websites. With these cookies, Google and its partners can show you ads based on what you have browsed. You can choose not to see personalized ads in Google Ads Settings, or opt out of some other companies’ personalized advertising at aboutads.info. Read How Google uses information from sites that use its services for how Google handles this data.
If you are in the European Economic Area, the UK or Switzerland, personalized ads and ad cookies should load only after you agree through a consent message. In California, you can limit the sharing of your information for personalized ads through Google’s settings and by emailing us.

The site runs over HTTPS and we keep the software updated. No method of sending data over the internet is fully secure, so we cannot promise absolute security.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle information, for example by adding analytics or ads, we will update this page and its date before the change goes live.
